Nigerians in Cape Town mobilise support for Eagles

 When the Super Eagles take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the quarter final match of the ongoing African Nations Championship tomorrow, they won’t lack support from the stands.The leadership of the Nigerian Union in Cape Town has purchased hundreds of match tickets to be distributed free to its members resident in the city and its environs. A Nigerian community leader here in the South African city, Chief Obinna Evans told Sports Vanguard that arrangements have been concluded to ensure we achieve maximum support for the Eagles on Saturday.’’Apart from what the union is doing, I am personally buying 50 tickets to be given out to members to go to the stadium and cheer these boys who have been able to restore our hope in them,’’ Evans who introduced himself as the Eze ndi Igbo (head of Igbos) in Cape Town said.He said that the elimination of the Bafana Bafana from the tournament would surely affect the turn out of fans as the locals will stay away.
