Footballer Didier Drogba Acquires $74M Stake In Ivorian Gold Mine


The Ivorian footballer  has reportedly bought a 5 per cent stake in his country’s largest mining company. According to African Review, Drogba paid $74 Million to acquire part of the state’s shares in the company. 
He had expressed interest in purchasing the stakes at the state owned mine last year March but the deal didn't happen and it finally took the intervention of the country’s president Alassane Ouattara before the deal was concluded last Friday.
